What to Expect
Intake Session
During this meeting we discuss history, address questions, and identify any other sources of information such as teachers, therapists, specialists.

Testing
Each evaluation is tailored to the child's unique diagnostic questions and often takes 5 - 6 hours of testing time scheduled over the course of several days.

Feedback Session
In this meeting, we discuss the results of the assessment, recommendations, and questions. I offer my clinical impressions and our discussion creates the opportunity to understand if they align with the client's experiences. Feedback sessions occur with parents and sometimes other important professionals. Feedback meetings with children are often a step toward their growing their understanding of themselves.

Report
A comprehensive report integrating information, findings, and recommendations in readable language is generated. My recommendations address specific needs, concrete suggestions, possible referrals, and if applicable accommodations. Reports written at a developmentally appropriate level for children are available.

Collaborative Services
Assessments may include additional meetings with teachers, student services teams, therapists, and other professionals to coordinate supports focusing on the child's needs. This is often accomplished by coordinating supports among therapists, learning specialists, and other professionals, and may include IEP or 504 plan meetings.
